Retractable Awnings

Patio Awnings, Tailored to Your Home

Hundreds of fabric and frame colours. Manual or electric. With optional LED lighting, heaters and weather sensors.

Retractable awnings are the most flexible way to add shade to your patio or garden. From compact open-cassette awnings for smaller patios to fully cassetted electric awnings spanning 7m+, we'll help you pick the right model, colour and fabric for your home.

Open, Semi-Cassette & Full-Cassette

The three main types of retractable awning, each available in manual or electric operation. Full-cassette models fully enclose the fabric when retracted for maximum protection.

Hundreds of Fabric Choices

Choose from hundreds of plain, striped and patterned fabrics from leading European mills, all UV-stabilised and water-repellent.

Smart Add-Ons

Add LED lighting, infra-red heaters, drop-down variable valances and automated wind, rain and sun sensors that retract the awning for you.

Frequently asked questions

What wind rating should I look for?
Domestic awnings are class rated for wind resistance, and the higher the class the longer the awning stays out safely. Projection matters as much as the class, because a longer arm puts more leverage into the wall, so ask what the rating is at the projection you are actually buying.
Do I need a wind sensor?
On an exposed elevation, a holiday let or any wall where the awning may be left out unattended, a sensor is worth the money because it retracts automatically before gusts can bend the arms. On a sheltered courtyard it is optional.
Which fabric holds its colour?
Solution dyed acrylics keep their colour far longer than surface printed cloths because the pigment goes through the fibre. Weave and weight then decide how much light comes through and how well the fabric sheds rain and dirt.
Is a full cassette worth the extra cost?
On an exposed wall, yes. A full cassette seals the fabric and arm set away from grit, rain and bird mess when retracted, which is the single biggest factor in how long a fabric lasts. Sheltered recessed walls can take a semi cassette or open system.
Can you fit an awning above bifold doors?
Usually. The bracket line often moves above the lintel or up to the soffit, and we check the substrate at survey because that is what decides the bracket type rather than the door below it.
Are awnings covered by the warranty?
Our installations carry an up to 10 year warranty, with fabric and motor components covered under the manufacturer terms for the relevant Weinor range. We go through exactly what is covered before you order.
