Glass Rooms

All-Season Glass Rooms

Bring the outside in with a fully glazed garden room, a beautiful, weatherproof extension of your living space.

A glass room is the perfect alternative to a traditional conservatory, slimmer profiles, more glass, and built specifically for the British climate. Use it as a dining space, a home office, a snug, or simply as somewhere to enjoy the garden whatever the weather.

Slimline Aluminium Frames

Premium thermally-broken aluminium gives you maximum glass and minimum frame, without compromising on thermal performance.

Sliding Glass Doors

Frameless sliding glass doors that fold completely open in summer, then close to a weatherproof seal in winter.

Lighting, Heating & Screens

Integrated LED lighting, infra-red heaters, automated blinds and zip-screen privacy walls, all controlled from your phone.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between a glass room and a conservatory?
A glass room is a lighter structure with sliding glass walls rather than a sealed, insulated envelope. It is far cheaper to build, it does not usually need building regulations approval, and it is a sheltered space rather than a heated extension of the house.
Can the glass walls be opened fully?
Yes. The sliding panels stack to one or both sides, so in summer the room reads as an open veranda and in winter it closes down to keep wind and rain out. Panels can be part opened for ventilation on humid days.
Does a glass room get condensation?
Any unheated glass structure can show condensation on cold mornings, which is why our systems are designed to drain rather than trap water and why we leave controlled ventilation in the spec. Adding infrared heating and using the room regularly reduces it further.
Is a glass room warm enough to use in winter?
With the walls closed, side screens fitted and infrared heating overhead, most owners use them through the colder months. It stays a sheltered outdoor room rather than a heated living room, and we are straightforward with customers about that.
How is a glass room cleaned?
The glass panels lift or tilt for cleaning depending on the system, and the roof can be specified with a self cleaning coating that reduces how often it needs attention. The tracks want brushing out a few times a year.
Can a glass room be built onto an existing veranda?
Often yes. Where the existing frame and fixings are sound, glass walls can be retrofitted to close in the sides. We survey the structure first, because a frame that was never designed for that load has to be reinforced or replaced.
