The survey exists to remove the unknowns before anyone commits. It is a measuring and checking exercise, and it should leave you with enough information to compare quotes properly.
Measuring and levels
We take widths, projections, eaves and soffit heights, door swings and patio falls. Levels matter as much as widths — the fall of your paving decides where water ends up.
Checking the fixing surface
We identify the wall build-up and, where relevant, where the lintel and cavity closers sit. This determines bracket type and whether a free-standing frame is the better answer.
Drainage and services
We trace downpipes, gullies and any soil or gas runs that affect post positions, and agree where rainwater will discharge.
