Installation Day: What Actually Happens
Most installations are completed in one to three days. Knowing the sequence helps you plan access, parking and where the dog goes.
Access and protection
The team needs a route to the rear for beams and glass. Paving and planting near the work area are protected before anything is unloaded.
Setting out and fixing
The wall plate is levelled and fixed first, then posts are positioned and the front beam is lifted into place. This is the stage that decides whether the finished structure looks right.
Roof and glazing
Rafters, glazing bars and glass or blades go in, with gaskets seated and end caps closed off.
Drainage test and handover
We run water through the gutter and downpipes before we finish, then walk you through controls, cleaning and warranty terms.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to be home all day?
Not usually, but we do like you present for setting out and for handover.
Will the garden be a mess?
There is drilling dust and packaging, and both are cleared before we leave.
What if the weather turns?
Frame work continues in most conditions; glazing and sealing are paused in high wind or heavy rain for safety and quality.
Is scaffolding ever needed?
Occasionally on high wall plates or restricted access. If so, it is identified and priced at survey, not sprung on you.
